2011 Fall Sale
(Catalog & Excel Data)
Hello Friends-
The catalog for our
December 12 Sale is finally at the printers, and is also now posted on
our website, buffalocreekredangus.com. We expect to have hard copy in
the mail either Thursday or Friday this week. If you live in WY, CO, MT,
ID or in nearby SD or NE, your catalog will go First Class. All others
will be sent by Prioriy Mail. Coming soon to the website will be an
excel version of the catalog.
This will be our last
sale, and maybe we saved the best for last. It is a great set of bulls.
There are large groups of both Red Hill Julian 84S and BUF CRK Lancer
R017 sons. They are an excellent demonstration of their sires'
superiority.
25% interest in 84S
sold in our February sale to Ozark Hills Red Angus in MO, and Calvo
Family Red Angus for $30,000. With a wonderful disposition, he is
without doubt one of the breed's leading, no fault sires for Calving
Ease, Low ME, high Staybility, REA, and Moderate Size.
Lancer R017 has become
a breed Legend. Selling in 2006 to Mushrush Red Angus for $12,500. he
died way too soon. Truly a big spread sire, his remarkable EPDs are: CED
9 (19%) BW -1.3 (33%) WW 55 (5%) YW 95 (6%) Milk 11 (80%). Mat 38 (27%)
ME 0 (24%) HPG 9 (55%) CEM 3 (58%) Stay 14 (9%) Marb .30 (14%) REA .18
(29%)
There is practically no
semen left on R017, but he breeds true, and his sons are excellent
representatives of him. In our 2010 sale they averaged over $10,000,
and include BUF CRK The Right Kind U199. Reports in so far are
that Right Kind had the leading sire groups in his new owners' herds: 5L
Red Angus, Loosli Red Angus, and Westphal Red Angus. You will be hearing
more about him.
Also selling will be
several sons of B571; TR Julian LT 151; Julian P178; Brown Commitment
S7206; BUF CRK Valentine T146, high selling bull in our 2008 sale; BUF
CRK Nice 'n Easy T189, second high bull in 2008; and grandsons of Lancer
F442, and more. Thirty percent of the bulls selling are considered to be
of Herd Bull quality.
The average EPDs on all
of the bulls selling are:
CED 9 (25%) BW
-1.4 (25%) WW 37 (30%) YW 65 (38%) Milk 17 (50%) Mat 35 (45%) ME
2 (25%) HPG 10 (45%) CEM 4 (45%) Stay 14 (10%) Marb .16 (30%) REA .12
(40%)
These are easy calving,
moderate, maternal, dependable, high stayability bulls, bulls that are
true herd builders.

small group of females bred to either The Right Kind U199, or the Lot 3
bull in the sale, BUF CRK Easy Pine X180, a Nice 'n Easy son; semen and
